Canadian Emancipation Program

Sunday, August 14th, APC Community Outreach is commemorating Emancipation Day! Join us as we remember pivotal figures and moments in Canadian Black History and celebrate the freedoms they have afforded us.

Directly after service, there will be a mobile museum exhibit display in the foyer by The Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum (CMIM). The museum will display the important contributions that Black Canadian and Caribbean innovators have made throughout history by featuring their pivotal inventions.

There will also be a 45-minute youth STEM workshop led by a Black forensic scientist to promote chemistry and forensic science learning for youth ages 6-17 years old. Register your child for the workshop here.

Emancipation Program Schedule:
Service: 11AM – 1:30PM
Museum: 1:30PM – 3:00PM, in the lobby
STEM Workshop: 2:15PM – 3:00PM, in the Teen 1 Classroom
