APC's history is marked by humble beginnings in a basement Bible study, followed by growth and community outreach at various locations until acquiring its own worship center. Through faith, dedication, and the support of its members, APC continues to thrive as a beacon of worship and community in Pickering.
1993
Basement
Beginning as a weekly Bible study in Senior Pastor Audley Castro’s basement apartment, our journey started with remarkable growth, doubling our attendance within just two months.
1994
YMCA
Relocating to the YMCA, we expanded our outreach with dedicated youth nights, providing spiritual growth and recreational opportunities for teenagers.
1995
Unit 21
With our congregation flourishing, we moved to 1755 Plummer Street, unit 21 to accommodate our expanding numbers. Over the next three years, our growth continued, prompting us to seek larger premises.
1999
Units 8 & 9
Two units became available on the other side of the property, and an opportunity arose to acquire Units 8 and 9. This expansion doubled our space, leading to continued blessings as more individuals joined our services, enriching our community with new members.
2001
755 Oklahoma Dr.
After years of hard work and sacrifice from our members, APC was blessed to purchase our own church building at 755 Oklahoma Dr., situated in the West Shore waterfront community of Frenchman’s Bay, Pickering.
2019
1920 Notion Rd.
Celebrating a significant milestone, we acquired our current worship center at 1920 Notion Rd. This achievement stands as a testament to God's grace and the unwavering support of our APC community, for which we give all honor to Jesus Christ, our Lord.
